near Florence and Greve in Chianti. Close to Greve,
the villa stands with a royal stance amidst the gently
rolling green Tuscan hills of Chianti, Florence. Picturesque
and scenic, the Tuscany villa is surrounded by vineyards,
woodlands, olive groves and charming medieval towns.
This beautiful luxury Tuscany villa is just a 30 minute
drive away from Florence, Siena and San Gimignano and
very close to the lovely villages of Panzano in Chianti
and Greve in Chianti. Providing leisure walks by the
river through the woods, this luxury estate has gorgeous
1.5 hectares of gardens and is surrounded by vineyards
and olive trees.
The villa is luxurious both inside and out. It has
2 Barbeques. One is near the garden on the stone terrace
with a dining table that sits 18 people and the other
is near the pool. A short walk takes you to the marble
infinity style pool which measures 18 x 9 meters surrounded
by a number of sun-beds, armchairs, coffee tables and
umbrellas. The views from around the pool are magnificent.
There is a shower outside with a shower room and WC
near the pool. There is a large outdoor fireplace with
a 10 x 5 meter Moroccan style tent with comfortable
seating for many people with sofas, a fridge and stereo.
This lovely luxury villa dates back to the 14th century
and was once the residence of the powerful Cardinal
de Ricci before it was turned into a monastery. Transformed
into a luxury residence, the owner has restored it to
perfection adhering to its original style and antique
structure. The villa evolves over 9 double bedrooms
and one twin bedroom, with eight en-suite bathrooms.
Two double rooms are reserved for personal use of the
owner. The ground floor has a courtyard, dining room
(48 sqm), Dungeon Bar and sitting room, Satellite TV,
DVD, VCR, fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms
and 1 twin room with ensuite bathrooms and there is
also a cloakroom here. All the bedrooms have access
into the gardens.
The dining room features an antique table that seats
10 people but can be extended to accommodate 16 people.
The kitchen has another table, which is great for the
children when there are larger groups of guests. There
are 2 kitchens, one for the guests which is an open
plan style opening onto the dining room. The other is
on the first floor. Both kitchens are large and fully
equipped. In the bar room, you will find a very big
sofa with seating for many guests. The fridge is fully
stocked and drinks are charged based on consumption.
A flight of stone stairs leads up to the first floor,
which has a formal living room (50 sqm), a spacious
hallway, 5 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and
one single bedroom. The kitchen on this level can be
used by the staff or the hired cook if the guests prefer
privacy.
The Guests’ personal staff can be accommodated
in the Villa’s Staff Quarters by prior arrangement.
The living room on this floor has a fireplace, a television,
library and a grand piano and can comfortably seat 12
people. The Villa itself consists of eight double bedrooms
and one single bedroom, with eight en-suite bathrooms.
The double bedrooms have grand four poster beds and
some rooms still feature original frescoes. There is
a guest house on the grounds that can also be rented
to accommodate larger groups with 4 additional bedrooms
and 3 ensuite bathrooms.
Tourist activities:
The Villa is 30 kilometers from Florence, 50 kilometers
from Siena and 80 kilometers from Pisa. It’s a
thirty-minute drive away San Gimignano.
