this luxurious castle was built on the foundations of
a 1000 year old Roman outpost with an awesome view of
the Tuscan countryside, mountains, seaside, island of
Gorgona and gulf of Portovenere. Structured in the pulsating
heart of beautiful Tuscany, the castle has awesome views

middle of the artistic region of Tuscany, the castle
is very close to the Apuane Mountains and the marble
caves of Carrara, the sculpture stone studios and bronze
art foundries of Pietrasanta where famous artists among
others like Botero and Mitoraj worked.
This small but lovely castle evolves over two apartments
connected by a garden, equipped with hi-tech facilities,
Tuscan interior decoration with the world famous modern
Italian designed furniture.
Main apartment: The
main castle apartment opens with a one double bedroom
with ensuite full bathroom with bath and shower, a living
room, dining room and an amazing kitchen, storage room
and toilette. This apartment has a washing machine,
dishwasher and a fire place. Its equipped with satellite
television, internet access, hi-fi and many other covenient
facilities.
Dependence: The castle
dependence has a living room/dining room with a kitchen
corner, double bedroom and full bathroom with a shower.
Furnished tastefully, there are modern appliances, fridge,
satellite TV and internet access. There is a sofa bed
in the living room for two additional people.
Surrounded by an antique wall and olive groves this
beautiful and luxurious castle in Tuscany is splendid
for a vacation. The apartments are surrounded by green
gardens with fruit trees and flowering plants. There
is lush vegetable garden where in summer fresh tomatoes,
onions, cucumbers, string beans, courgettes, eggplants,
peppers, basil, and other fresh produce are grown. There
is a pool and five great terraces, one of which has
a wonderful sun deck decorated with a sun worshipping
mosaic. The terraces and gardens are fully equipped
with sun deck chairs, umbrella, tables and chairs and
barbeque.
The Castle is only 3 minutes walk through an old stone
road that goes through the very tranquil old village
of Monteggiori with beautiful walking paths outside
the village. With convenience and hospitality, the lady
in charge of the house drives a truck to bring up the
guests’ luggage and shopping. The castle is situated
with Monteggiori in front of the Tyrrhenian sea with
the Apuane Alps at the behind.
Tourist Attractions:
From the Castle you can see a beautiful panorama stretching
from the Maritime Alps in France (when it’s very
clear), the Gulf of Portovenere, the isle of Gorgona,
Capraia, Corsica down to Pisa. Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio,
where one can find shops and boutiques, night life and
sports facilities, just 8-10 kilometers away from the
Castle. In the heart of the most creative artistic area
in Italy, the Apuan Mountains and the marble caves of
Carrara (30km), the sculpture stone studios and bronze
art foundries of Pietrasanta where world-wide artists
come to work, the proximity of Pisa (30 kms.), Lucca
(30 kms.), Florence (80 kms.), Siena (150 kms.) and
all the wonderful little villages along the way, Portofino
and Portovenere (70 kms.). The yacht harbour at Viareggio
is 8 kms. Pietrasanta is at 4 kms. There are tennis
courts and a golf course nearby (5 kms.), lively nightlife
by the seaside, theatre, concerts, opera at Torre del
Lago Puccini (10 kms.), art exhibitions, etc.
